I’ve always been fascinated by the controlled chaos of these events - how they throw wildly different personalities into one pressure-cooked room, dressed to the nines and teetering on the edge of decorum. There’s something deeply theatrical about it, and very British too. The work draws on that rich tradition of postcard humour - loud uncles, passive-aggressive toasts, dance floor disasters - all dialled up and lovingly frozen in time.
But beyond the satire, this is also a celebration of scale and craft. I’ve been obsessed with miniature worlds since I was a kid - the magic of tiny things, how they can feel more real than life-sized ones. Using AI as part of my process lets me rapidly sketch and experiment with these imagined scenes before bringing them to life visually, combining storytelling, design,
